shrink tube

aka "heat shrink tube" or "tubing." Cylindrical Polyolefin (usually) material which reduces in size (mainly concerned with diameter) upon the application of heat. Used to insulate electrical connections. The clear variety is often used to cover a owner's I.D. or length label.
