1a. verb. To produce a performance piece, "stage a play or musical." To block or choreograph, "after lunch, we'll stage Act II."
1b. verb. To prepare, such for freight, "stage those boxes on the loading dock, in the order they should be loaded into the truck."

2a. noun. An elevated platform or rostrum, upon which actors act, performers perform, presenters present, and concert musicians muse.
