From where? I was only able to find it on Ebay.

Clarify... not looking to purchase. Just wondering where it was from.

A little searching on the net shows that it is an Irradiant Lighting lighting product, namely the SSDL-6135. $400 seems to be the going rate with a usual listed price of $500.

Heres the manufacturers page on the light.

If you look around the site they have a list of representatives. I'm sure they will be able to help you should you desire one of these.

hmmm.... 15w power consumption? Not very bright for a single light source. I hear there is a 100w single LED moving spot coming soon. I would prefer a brighter light source like that. great light for club bands or uplights. I like the lensing, at $400 it must be plastic, less light transmission but more durable. Thumbs up on this one pending reliability info.

The wattage rating of LED 'seems' to be calculated differently than the actual consumption of the fixture.

For example:

Chauvets Color Palette has 288 quarter watt LEDs (288 x .25 = 72w) Max draw on the fixture is 12 watts. I've found this to be the case throughout listed specifications.

The 100w Revo100 in now in country and shipping.

The Revo100 is fused at 3 amps. Considering the number of stepper motors used for the pan/tilt, color wheel, gobo wheel and prism and the power required for the electronics, my post above may prove to be reasonable.

Somethings aren't adding up. The specs I have found say it is a "36w RGB SSLE". The next questionable item is the fact that power consumption is listed as 15w, as Franklights and gaff. See for yourselves. This of course could just be a typo.

At any rate, a 60w single source LED in a PAR 56 body sounds both interesting and powerful at that price point. You will have to let us know how it compares to other LED fixtures and conventionals when you get a chance Bill.

Also, any word on the Revo-100 comparison yet? Unless they misprinted the cue sheet, the power on the light is no where near a 250w discharge. Says 300 lux @ 3m and >100 lux @ 5m. No info on the beam angle however. A DS250 is 4480 lux @ 2.5m and 1644 lux @ 5m with a 20 degree beam angle. MSRPs at $2999.95 compared to $2499.95 of the DS250. Using a DS250 8 hours a day, 365 a year means a new lamp once a year. 5 years till the cost difference is made up with lamps.

So what does the difference between the 15W power consumption and the fact it's advertised as a 60W LED PAR mean?

It is more efficient to pulse width modulate leds so they can be supplied at peak power for max light output while keeping the heat dissapation down. This keeps the long led life time (as they don't always tell you the life expectancy of an overdriven led), and usually means no cooling fan which helps in quiet venues.
I don't know the correct maths but a 20% duty cyle will mean 12 watts for the leds and 3 watts for the control electronics. ?

Sounds like we have encountered a classic problem. Wattage consumed does not necessarily tell you anything about how bright an instrument's light output actually is. So far we've all been geeking out on LED's getting bigger in power consumption. But the truth is the real measure is in the light meter... which the manufacturers continue to all be very shy about publishing data on.

You won't find a lot of these new fixtures in the US just yet as they are chinese imports from a company called neo-neon.

I do subcontract work for a distributor of Neo-Neon products and will give the manufacturer a call today to find out how much I can get these things for to answer the questions on pricing some of you have.

Better yet, if anyone has specific questions about the product, shoot me over a message and I'll give China a call to get the exact details of the products for you guys. Neo-Neon has a tendency to get a LOT of details wrong in their cut sheets.

FYI, This company also makes half of American DJ products (The ones that suck, the decent ones which are maybe 2-3 fixtures are made by another company, the same company that makes the design spot series) and ALL of the Chauvet products with the exception of the Colorado series and anything that has 1-Watt LED Diodes in it.

Hey Diji, BillESC is a Neo-Neon dealer. He's doing his best to walk the line between informing us of new stuff coming along without getting his hands slapped by the Senior Team for selling stuff on CB and violating the TOS. If you do some searching you'll find that he has some of the Neo-Neon PARS in his shop right now running a demo. He hasn't gotten the Revo100 in yet though.

We draw the line at quoting exact selling prices in public. If anyone is seriously interested, they will contact you via PM.

Back to topic. Seriously, an LED PAR with a Fresnel lens? That must make allthingstheatre LOL. What's next to confuse the students: an ERS with a spot-flood adjustment?

Uhhh...I think it's called a zoom handle/adjustment, but I can't be too sure

I'm quite intrigued by all of these power specs on LEDs. "288 quarter watt LEDs" means nothing then?

Just to clarify, those of us who are not selling anything, can post what we paid for a product. It's the dealers among us who must either quote a list price or do as Bill did above with "Street price is under $X".

I would have only given the MSRP for any product on the neo-neon line. Unless we order by the shipping container load, our ordering prices suck, and I have no intention of ordering anything else from them anytime soon unless it's an emergency replacement for something, but I do agree with you.

From my experience with their products, their 1-Watt and 3-Watt lines are incredible. Anything under that pretty much sucks. I have yet to see what their single-100 Watt LED fixtures are like, but I am curious. Just keep in mind, that even though a lot of their stuff might be nice, it's not Luxeon LEDs. All of the LEDs they use are made by them, and I've noticed they do tend to go out prematurely.
