I know some people enjoy this, but I personally HATE drafting 3d casters or pillow blocks. I know you don't usually have to draft in casters in 3d, but drafting pillow blocks in 3d is essential to automation designs. So, I just found this, and I have to try it out. I foresee 3d EVERYTHING for my theatre, including clamps on lights.

OMG !!!!! and I thought the "build a real cutting laser from a dvd burner" link was cool. This is actually functional. This could revolutionize my use of SketchUp. I don't care so much about casters and pillow block, that's what Manufacturers websites are for. < they always provide 3d acad blocks right ?;) > But imagine being able to scan in custom and one off stuff !!!!!!

Thought you would like this... When I get some down time I will be building one of these in the corner of my office. Probably going to do 2, one big enough to do something about 3' tall, another 1'. It truly will be the most useful thing ever.

OOOH we can rotoscope the actors heads then just animate them! No need for Actors at all, we just build mannequins and fly them around the stage and project the CG animation onto the mannequin! It'll revolutionize the industry!
