They sent you a spare
unit and you it used it in the
plot. You deserve everything to go wrong that could possibly happen.
That was quite uncalled for. It isn't very common that a rental
house will
send out a spare
fixture, so unless one asked for it, one probably would not assume it was a spare.
Yea... I saw that. We rented these sorry i forgot to put that in there so I called the company today and the one that's not working is a spare they had sent us, they never made that
clear so we thought they sent us an extra one so they said if the spair didnt work and atleast 2 of them did then they wouldn't do anything about it. So yea 2 of them work but what I was wondering is if there is any way to counter act it or quick fixes
if it is a rented piece of equipment pull it from the show and DON'T FIX IT most rental houses dont like people fixing there products
Jby007 is right, if you have a
fixture you rented, it is not your responsibility, nor a good idea to have it fixed by anyone other than the rental
house if there is a problem. I do find it odd that the rental company won't either fix the
unit or replace it for the duration of your rental. That seems like bad business to me. Also, it is their
fixture, one would think that they would want it to work. I can understand their position if you are actually only paying to rent 2 fixtures and not 3, but that would be an amazingly odd (or just very generous) thing for the rental place to do. I would be persistent and
call them a few more times, tell them that you can't have a spare that doesn't work and you would like to swap it, if you have to, offer to pay for the rental of the third
fixture. There should be a way for you to get the situation rectified. If they continue to give you a hard time I would look into other rental houses for future rentals.
