ALPS pots for strand boards

Mouser electronics sells alps pots but many ones have a large minimum order

yeah, alps has a 1200pc minimum order and they take forever to get as they dont make them until you order them. Mouser has one that I think is the proper one, but I am trying to get the exact part number to make sure I am getting the right ones.

One needs to remember that a manufacturer will often choose a part of either cost availability in large quantity ease of assembly rather than the ease of someone getting one or two off replacement parts except from them

yes, but aparrently its a standard piece that is available from many sources as long as you have the part number. Strand used it in several boards until they switched to chinese ones to save money.

I have a Stand MX board with sticky faders, any idea how to see who makes them?

theyre made by alps, as you can tell from my thread -im trying to get the appropriate part number. Have fun desoldering those. Are you replacing all of them or just the bad ones? Be careful when you are desoldering the pots, the PCB design isnt that good and you can damage where some of the thin traces go to the pads for the silders if you arent careful.
