Heyas,
Quick question, if I wanted to piece together some gel scraps to create a multicolored gel sheet/stained glass window, is there any specific type of tape I would need to use to withstand the heat or would the regular scotch tape work?

Don't think scotch tape will hold up to the heat. Look at Apollo Gel-Tak, or others similar... Apollo Design | Gel Tak Tape. Withstands up to 350 degrees F.
Yep, I've used it time and time again and never had a problem with it. If I'm making up scroller strings then I use proper scroller tape, but for split gels ordinary scotch tape is just fine.
