Conventional Fixtures Ariel Davis Light Bulbs?

Our school is kinda underfunded, and so a long time ago they bought a whole bunch of old Ariel Davis lights. What has happened over the years is that the light bulbs inside the lights have gone out, but the Fresnel lens' are still good.

My question is, where can i get some Ariel Davis light bulbs? I tried googling it but nothing showed for Ariel Davis at all.

Here are what the units say. There are two different models that i need bulbs for, and i'm not quite sure what all of it means but here it is
1). Ariel Davis Manufacturing Co. Catalog # 3201
Lamp type 120 Volt 500 Watt Max
Use 500 Par 64 NSP only
2). Ariel Davis Manufacturing Co. Catalog # 4215
Lamp type 120 Volt 500 Watt Max

Hey there Joseph. I've never heard of Ariel Davis, but from what I can gather from the information provided, you're looking for a PAR 64 Narrow Spot lamp, like this one for the #3201. I can't seem to find anything on Ariel Davis or their products, so someone with more experience than myself will have to provide information on the #4215.

By the way, in theatre, lighting fixtures use 'lamps,' not bulbs.

500PAR64NSP's are readily available. A bit over $ 20.00 each.

Clifford thanks for the tip about the lamps. THe one you pointed me to seems to be the right one. I am still pretty new at this, but thanks for the help steering me in the right direction.

No problem, I just hope we can help you with the other fixture.

Pictures of the lamp base can tell us what kind it (the base) is, and from there we can begin to help you with the type of lamp you need.

I don't have a link to this brand but as with the above, do think that if PAR 64, a common lamp replacement is fine.

#1. As said above, any 500W PAR64-NSP lamp will do. Neither Ariel Davis, nor their successor Electro Controls, ever made lamps. See also this thread: http://www.controlbooth.com/forums/lighting-electrics/5916-electro-controls-3201-3214-ers.html . However, you're never going to happy with the result using those fixtures. Further, they are a safety hazard, as the cords contain asbestos. Best to send one to me, and I'll replace it with a gently-used, modern Source Four ERS.

#2. I can't find a 4215, but likely takes a BTL (if a Fresnel) or EGE (If an ERS).
