ETC Express + Le Maitre Stage Fogger DMX

We just got in our Le Maitre Stage Fogger DMX, and I was wondering if there was any way that I could control it with my ETC Express 48/96? It would be on the second DMX Universe.

Yep, it should be really easy provided you have DMX (the second universe) run to where it needs to go.

I'd give you programming specifics but I'm not that sure about Express stuff.

It is very simple. First go into setup on your console and make sure that you have the second universe output enabled and set to 513-1024. Then set the address on your fogger to 001. Connect via DMX cable to the universe 2 jack on the console. Then patch dimmers 513 and any other subsequent dimmers (I don't know how many control channels your fogger uses) to the channels you want to use to control the fogger. And off you go.

I'm not sure about the express, but there is another step if it's like the expression. After you set up the output settings go back to prefs, option 1, system setup. Then make sure the dimmer count is set to 1024.
Patching the second universe is pretty easy, if you understand it. Basically whatever take the address of the unit, add 512, and that's the dimmer number on the console.

Is the Le Maitre fogger like the hazer where you have to buy the DMX input serparatly? Cause he may be missing a part.

That was the Neutron FX which has been discontinued and replaced by the Radiance which has DMX onboard as a standard.


The Stage Fogger DMX is just that... a Fogger with DMX built in.
