Newbie Intro (no duh)

Hey all,

Hi from Maryland. I'm a 47 year old mom who takes classes at the local community college just to spend keep my mind stretched. Took a theatre lighting class because it looked cool and somehow slipped sideways into a technical theatre track.

To forestall the potential question, I found CB a while ago while searching for more info about the lightspeed wrench but didn't join up. Now that CB has shown up for about the 5th or 6th time in answer to a question I had, I figured maybe I should just bite the bullet and be active. (Besides, eventually the answer to my questions might not be here and I'll have to *gasp* ask for myself!)
