I'm starting a production of Reefer Madness this week, and the only console that is available to me is an iPC running the Hog3 software, which I have never used before. It has been 2 years since I have even touched one, and it was a Hog2 model. I am used to ETC boards and other conventional boards, so it's already very confusing. I'm running 5 moving lights, but I am using conventional's. I have several strip lights which are gelled to RGB. Looking through the manual I see that I am able to create instrument profiles from scratch. I was hoping that I can have some guidance turning these into fixtures which I can simply control through the built in color picker. I understand that there will be color gamut issues, but this will save me large amounts of pre-programming time.
I'm sure that this question has been asked before, but I'm hoping for a little bit of direction in this matter. I first get to use the software tomorrow, but luckily I have 2 weeks till I'm in space. Thanks for putting up with my newbie question. If it helps I'm using classic L&E R40 strips, 150w lamps with R27, R95, and R80.
