Hello all,
This looks like a very useful site, especially for the exchange of ideas and the sharing of obscure information. My name is Dave and I have a 35-year history on the manufacturing, design and field service side of the business, and I'm called upon to light several shows a year, mostly for church and school. I also founded Pathway Connectivity (formerly Gray Interfaces), a manufacturer of DMX and Ethernet products. I enjoy being able to help others with technical information about the many different products they may encounter and have issues with, especially the older stuff from the 60s thru 90s. Feel free to pass along your questions and hopefully I will be able to help.

Welcome to CB! I am a big fan of PathPort. Our facility uses it for our DMX512 distribution. Over 40 nodes running strong for almost 6 years now. I also sat in on a session at USITT this year where you were on the panel (if I am not mistaking) good info there. Glad to have you here.

Thanks for the welcome and kind words. I didn't make a big deal about the company description because I'm not participating here for commercial reasons, only because I love the industry and get a real charge out of being able to help people solve weird problems with their gear. That was actually our technical sales person, Robert Armstrong at USITT this year, not me. He's a great go-to guy for any & all network related information, and he'll be joining CB as well.

Thanks for the clarification. There was a man name Dave on the panel as well, looks like I got my networks folks confused. We look forward to having Robert here as well.
