Can anyone identify this effect fixture?

I was watching the youtube videos of Britain's Got Talent and am wondering, what fixtures are they using to create the giant moonflower/beam effects from these screen captures.

At first I thought it was a regular breakup gobo, but the beam isn't defined enough (IMO) to be from a regular mover. Anyone have any thoughts, ideas?

Yes its Susan Boyle, no I don't own the pics. They are all copyright whoever owns Britain's Got Talent. I am not sure about the posting rules, but I am just trying to identify the fixtures in use.

Chances are it is a plain old "dots" type gobo, thus giving the many individual beams from each fixture.
Like this (AP MS-2288):

As for fixture type, it could be anything as we can't see the fixtures in the photos. Odds are good that it is an arc source fixture. As for beam definition: White man have new technology called focus!

This was my first thought. Dots projected through a MAC III or a VL3000 Profile. I don't think white man's focus is being employed ;D

I remembered that last year one of the lighting rags was talking about a line of arc-lamp based moon flowers that were popular in Europe. I just can't find the article. They have been used before for other Euro concerts and its the same effect, a rotating ACL/moonflower-ish cluster of beams. Anyone read Lighting and Sound Intl and have old copies?

I can confirm that the fixtures are defiantly nova flowers :)

I was going to guess an Alpha One Falcon Flower. I watched a bunch of the BGT videos because they have a buch of tech stuff on stage and generally put on a decent show, especially for the semi finals, and the LD seems to really like using those flowers fixtures.

We have established that its either a NovaFlower or an Alpha-One Falcon Flower. Both effects are arc-lamp based moonflowers on a yoke.

See the below pictures for comparison. The first is a NovaFlower, the second the original image I uploaded. The beams match.

If the beams were coming from a profile fixture, they would be more defined. I think we can put this one to rest.

Thank you to everyone who replied. I appreciate it.

Yeah, it's definitely either the Nova Flower or Falcon Flower - you can't easily get those kinds of beams out of a regular moving light. There's a definition to them that's not exactly simply an out of focus mover - it's something more.
