Hi All...

I've browsed the posts a few times so I thought I'd join up. I currently teach set and lighting design at Wichita State University and I am the lighting designer and production manager at Music Theatre of Wichita. I've been a lighting designer for..lets just say a LONG time, and I've been a professor for three years. I've designed over 300 productions at various theatres across the country. Most of my work has been in musicals with occasional forays into dance, opera, straight plays and TV.

Hi David,

Welcome to the booth! I assume that either Footer or MrsFooter or maybe both introduced you to this site. It's great to have another seasoned professional here. From looking at the posts you've already made, you're going to fit right in around here. Make sure you check out the excellent Wiki and Search feature, and feel free jump in and add information wherever you can. Enjoy!

Welcome to the Booth!

:pray:Please feel free to throw Footer under the bus with any embarrassing stories you may have.

I'll throw Footer under the bus in a New York second. Steph, got any fun stories?

Yes, I am under the weather today, but not enough that I can't enjoy giving you a hard time. But, arranging S4's and PAR cans, not exactly the best idea when I can't think straight. With about 300 units in the plot I think I should wait a day until the fog clears. Just sick enough that I really shouldn't make any kind of committal decisions.

Now Kyle, you know we'll never make fun of you in person. At Camp MTW we much prefer offical memos for that. Burns more paper but we get to use really cool fonts. If you doubt my word please contact my ALD for his latest abuse distribution.

For all of you looking at this, Kyle has been welding and cranking out a ton of scenery on a tough schedule. We have probably the hardest schedule I've seen in 10 years, buiding 4 of 6 large scale musicals. AND, the two rented sets are ball busters too. Count on more dispatches from the world of MTW. and Kyle, your Mom will be on soon.

LOL

Great... another person to make fun of me in person and on the internets. Wonderful. Now all I need is for my mother to join...

Hmmm so I have an idea. Anyone got Mom Footer's e-mail address.
