Most cost effective way to uplight wall

I'm looking to do some uplighting on the back of a stage wall. The stage is for the youth at our church and Wednesday nights out youth band plays. Right now we've got pars, pars, and more pars (18!). Plus a couple LED fixtures uplighting the drums.

Right now the wall is red so what we'd do is paint portions white where we will uplight, possibly doing it at angles?

What I'm worried about is getting fixtures that are bright enough so that you can still see them with all the pars on (600W). Even though the pars aren't aimed at the wall they still get a bit of the light from them.

I tried out some American DJ MEGA-BAR-50-RGB-RCs on the wall (what we're using for the drums, they work fine) and they don't go very far up the wall (just a couple feet, which is hard to see from the floor).

So far I've been thinking about some Blizzard ColorSTORM 252s, or maybe instead of getting long skinny bar lights to get some puck lights.

Any suggestions?

Apollo has a amazing deal on the MultiBeam 1018 right now. This is a 54w RGB flat style par with a 30 degree beam. Buy one at $ 299.00 and get a second one FREE.

This is a limited time offer available through Apollo dealers.

Altman Lighting has a 50w version of its LED Cyc light. Very flat and very efficient. It will light upwards of 12' when spaced 4' on center. Sending you a PM.

How tall are the walls? How wide are the sections you want to light? What do you have for a budget?

I need to measure, they aren't terribly tall.
What I do know is that my youth minister said that we could buy them slowly, 1 per month, if they're under $150 or so. Basically I want the brightest LED light for $150 or less.

Don't buy them one at a time, save your money and buy them all at once. You'll greatly increase the odds that the diodes will all be from the same batch that way. The colors can vary batch to batch, especially with the lower end units.
