I'm looking to do some uplighting on the back of a stage wall. The stage is for the youth at our church and Wednesday nights out youth band plays. Right now we've got pars, pars, and more pars (18!). Plus a couple LED fixtures uplighting the drums.
Right now the wall is red so what we'd do is paint portions white where we will uplight, possibly doing it at angles?
What I'm worried about is getting fixtures that are bright enough so that you can still see them with all the pars on (600W). Even though the pars aren't aimed at the wall they still get a bit of the light from them.
I tried out some American DJ MEGA-BAR-50-RGB-RCs on the wall (what we're using for the drums, they work fine) and they don't go very far up the wall (just a couple feet, which is hard to see from the floor).
So far I've been thinking about some Blizzard ColorSTORM 252s, or maybe instead of getting long skinny bar lights to get some puck lights.
Any suggestions?
