snow machine rental

I'm looking to rent a snow machine/machines for our spring musical,White Christmas. The director wants lots of snow over the audience and stage. I have worked with the smaller foam based machines but I need something bigger to cover an 800 seat house as well as the stage, We may do a sling or a drum onstage with plastic snow
but we are definitely looking for something that dissipates for over the house. Anyone have experience with the larger machines that would help cover a large area? Multiple machines are doable but I'm concerned about noise as well. Thanks in advance

Your spring musical is White Christmas? That's...creative

not my choice that is for sure, but it should make renting drops, costumes etc much easier since no one else will be doing it at that time.

FWIW, I believe we have an entire set of drops in our rental inventory for "White Christmas." Just sayin.

As far as snow goes, I am not sure, but we are planning a similar effect for our Christmas show and I can let you know how it goes.

One of my favorite snow devices is the Snow Roller, well that's what it was called before Rose Brand bought the rights to it. Now called Snow Star. Great for on stage as it only falls below roller but to me looks the closest to real snow. Little Blizzard is another standard. As long as you use the right fluid, dissipates well over an audience. Snow Star rental is expensive as well as the paper snow for it. Little Blizzard rental should be fairly inexpensive.
