I heard about this yesterday, and saw this video of it today. I'd love to know if anyone here on CB had anything to do with it. If you did, Great Job! Click the link below to see the lights at the top of the Empire State Building Sync'd with Mariah Carey's "All I want for Christmas"

If you are in NYC during the next week, check the schedule get 'I heart Radio' or tune into one of the snyc'd radio stations and have fun! Merry, Happy, Joy, joy!

Even if you had nothing to do with it, does anyone happen to know who's work this is and would you mind revealing it here?
Season's best!

It did in fact so thank you @BillConnerFASTC for the Christmas presents of the links. I'd managed to find lot's of photos and videos on line but nothing of the shop who provided the gear and / or the designer whose work it was.
SEASON'S BEST to you and yours.

It's a permanent architectural install, Ron. They did it 4 or 5 years back, and they invested the money, presumably knowing they could charge it off against publicity, which is working out just fine for them, I think.

This is the second time they've done a live show, to my knowledge.

[ Edit: third or more; they opened with an Alicia Keys live show after the install in 2012; imagine busking the ESB, would you? ]

The first was on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the turnup of the Master FM antenna on the 104th Floor, last year.

The tune?

Well, it was the Steely Dan theme to a once popular film...

The live performances are always fun, but here in the city we mostly use it to know who won the latest Rangers Game at MSG and it's often used to signify political events, holidays and special events... you can follow this nifty calendar for a schedule and photos of past designs.
