Ben Nye Stage Blood vs Reel Blood

Can anyone give me their thoughts on how they compare? I need blood that will not stain. I know Reel Blood washes out if you use a detergent with a bluing agent, but we already have a PO account with a company where we can get Ben Nye, so it's easier for me to get it than Reel Blood. Does Reel Blood set up purchase order accounts?

I can confirm with my wife, but when we did Sweeny Todd, she used dish soap and red die. We ran the show for two months and didn't loose any WHITE shirts to staining!

And its cheaper

Reel Blood is, BY FAR, superior to Ben Nye, IMHO.
Not only for look and staining characteristics, but from a consistency and spatter stand point. It was the PERFECT choice for "The Lt. of Inishmore".

What kind of red dye?

Just food grade dye is what we used.

When we did Macbeth last year where we brutally murdered 14 characters on stage and used about 20 blood packs a night (and one bucket-o-blood for Banquo). We used a mixture of children's tempra paint (In red & blue) and glycerine. The blood came out nicely for the entire run(I had to do 6 loads of laundry per evening but that's another story).
