Hello all my given name is Dave my stage names are to many to remember except maybe some of the more explicit
ones. I started my journey installing and retrofitting nite club lighting both nationally and abroad. Once I became V*L
certified in the 90s life was like walking through Alice's Looking Glass. Lighting never looked the same to me but I have embraced new technologies.
Unfortunately my health caused me to leave both the stage and nite club tech life. I don't like to say I am retired as I was until this year freelancing now I am consulting venues on in house moving light and truss systems. Now I hope to have found a permanent home at a 1200 seat theater / multi purpose venue. There is only house light control at this time. The Owners want a permanent stage lighting system to offer to bands, weddings and whatever show is on the stage. I am looking forward to it, the challenge is price vs versatility- as always.
I also can try to help anyone with a PC problem. Seems like if your not using a real console these PC based systems are like a video game with a very expensive front end. But I digress I would go for a real Hog4 or a Grand MA2 console if I could get it past the budget.
Looking forward to learning and joining in discussions with you all.
