Wanted: VL3000 Spots and VL3000 Washes

Looking to pick up some used moving light equipment this summer. I've been seeing some great deals on used lighting.com but was wondering if some guys on this forum have some stuff they want to move. I'm looking to spend around 8k but perhaps more if the time is right in June when we plan on making some purchases.


Would like to be able to pick them up instead of shipping, because it'd be a real beast but will consider anything. Thanks.

I don't have exactly that - but sorta close. I have six VL2416 two of which are marginal and two VL2402's. All are in road cases. No reasonable offer will be refused and unreasonable offers will be carefully considered!

PRG in NYC dumped a bunch of them in their auction last summer. I sure many other local smaller house picked them up cheap hoping to flip them?

Looking for VL1000 Arc Shutter's as well. Missed out on the screaming deal at usedlighting.com where they were $440.00 a piece with dual flight cases... Looking to make purchases on June 1st (our new fiscal year). I'd like to get at least 12, hopefully 16, of these if anybody has them laying around.

TBH old VL1000s are not worth the maintenance hassle. At least the VL3000 is easy to strip down and repair,modules come out easily, and usually fairly straightforward to find out what's going on. I've serviced many of them. For the 1000s, you just take off the head cover and laugh.

If you didn't find anyone with the VL3000 washes yet, I believe Starlite down in South Jersey has some for sale. I can set you up with a contact if you're interested. They're very low hours units for their age, I personally took care of them for several years during my time in the Starlite shop. Very reliable.

Thanks for your response. I feel that for the price you can usually find them for, it's one of the best values for an instrument with framing shutters. I was going to split it up between 4 or 6 VL3Ks and 6 or 8 VL1Ks, but I'm still hunting around for the best option for that. Unless of course my organization surprises me with an extra $50k haha.
