This one win's the prize from me for best product at USITT that I've never seen before. It's a no brainer product that everyone needs. Really well made neoprene wireless mic belt packs at a reasonable price. Every high school, university, and rental shop, in the country should have a set of them. The company is WirelessMicBelts.com Check out the video here.

$18 for a pack and another $4-$6 for the belt. Are you kidding me? You spend $700 on that wireless mic, spend an extra $24 on a nice pack and belt to protect it... and no more dealing with condoms!

We had a parent make these years ago. Fabric cost less then $100 for 20. Elastic belts and Velcro ends, and made the pack out of denim. Works fantastic. I thought this was pretty standard with the non-broadway.

Plus being a public school, we don't exactly want to keep a supply of condoms on hand.... Even worse to have 20 "used" ones sitting in a garbage can at the end of the night. :)

I've done the homemade belt packs and elastic as well. But, with all respect to the skills of my costumer, there was no comparing them to the quality and level of protection these provide. These elastic belts are much better quality than anything we could ever come up with. The way the velcro on the pack closes around the connections to provide stable protection for the cables AND to seal out water is really impressive. Plus the added padding of the neoprene is much better than anything I've ever done. You could make them yourself, but at that price why would you, everyone can afford them, just buy a couple for each show and gradually replace your old ones. In a year or so you'll have all you need.

These look great - will have to order a couple to try.
On the subject - rather than a belt for the guys, we have them get a 'sports bra' in their size and hook the mic to that. Keeps it out of the way in those more active scenes.

Has anyone bought from this company lately, their website is sort of broken, the major links lead to an error. BHPhoto carries their product but lot's of products are listed as discontinued.

Huh, I had no problem with the website... In fact it's been updated since I was last there. https://www.wirelessmicbelts.com
I purchased a full collection from them last year and absolutely love them. I had a great chat with them at USITT. It's a great family business (she's a stage manager he's a sound guy). They have a new accessory (little velcro tabs to allow labeling of belt packs). I'll send you their direct contact information.

Hi All. Wireless Mic Belts' website is indeed experiencing some technical issues as of late this afternoon. Don't fret. You are welcome to contact me directly to place an order, ask questions, share some ideas. (Apparently Tech Support doesn't work during performances!:wall:) We appreciate you patience. There are some people in this industry that you really like and want to see be successful... there goes a really good one.

Thanks all for the responses. I had recommended this company in another forum (PSW) and decided to double check the links and happened to catch the now fixed glitch.
