Scenic Shop Recommendation

Hi all,

I wanted to put feelers out there for scenic shops. I am looking to use one long term to produce scenery for corporate shows but to also supply scenic automation for said shows. The full package including control console, variable speed chain motors, turntables, deck winches, Variable Frequency Dives Boxes, and potentially an operator/ programmer. Shows would be all over the United States.

To my knowledge they are more of a consulting frim. They do automation but I believe its more maintenance automation as oppose to show automation.

Mystic Scenic in Norwood MA does this stuff all the time and can handle any scale. Garreth Connors of Creative Connors started there and most of his original turntable kits and automation gear was prototyped and fabricated in their shop. Full metal shop on site, Lighting shop, Lots of corporate work.

They probably wouldn't on corporate stuff like Chawalang is talking about, but Show Motion also farms out some of their work to Mystic as well.

Oh, well if you're going East and West Coast you should definitely look at "Satis&Fy" and "Acme Scenic & Display".
