New here - a little about me

Hi all!

I'm new to the forum (though I've also been lurking for a while). I work for Verity Studios, we create indoor drone systems for live events. Sure, it's not your typical theatrical product but we cut our teeth in Paramour by CDS and there's endless potential in theater, concerts etc.

Anyway, we're always experimenting with new stuff and how we can turn drones into something more than just, well, drones (or flying lights as may be the case). Because of all the experiments, we're in constant need of opinions (brutally honest preferred) to tell us when we're completely on the wrong track and when we've got something interesting. So if it's ok, I might just ask for some opinions and thoughts from time to time.

On the flip-side - if you ever want to know anything about drones, we're happy to oblige.

Bye for now and thanks for reading!

I was on a show call where they did drone flown cameras for a Republic Show where they did heavy machinery events.

If I had any qualms with the drones it was the battery life on them sucked and dude had to land it every 15 mins or something. Was very cool tho watching it take of each time.

Welcome to CB.

We feel the pain re. the battery situation. It's always a trade-off with the size of the battery (therefore the size and safety of the drone) and the battery life. We're waiting for battery tech to improve!

Thanks for the welcome.

From one of your (well, not you personally, but Verity) friends at TAIT, welcome to ControlBooth. Hope we see you guys on another project!
