Rain behind window

Hi, so I've been asked to create a rain effect behind a window. I've seen it done with a monitor behind the window, so I was planning on that. I've been looking around for a stock video to play, but I can't find anything convincing. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to find better footage for an on stage window?

Its usually easier to make one how you like it. Even if you don't have the software, someone on Fivver would be able to do it easy.
I've used Apple Motion or After Effects. You can define background color and size, shape, density and direction of raindrops.

As someone who tries very hard to avoid using video and screens in theatre, I'd usually go for layers of shimmer strands of fabric over scrim over something lightly sparkly and add layers of blue wash light, tiny twinkle lights and slits of sidelight with a fan softly blowing.

There are a number of stock footage sites. As someone who has had to search for rain recently, what are you looking for? Do you want something that looks like rain hitting the window? Is it a light rain? Heavy rain? Do you need clouds? Thunderstorm?

Something else to consider, instead of having the monitor as direct view, what about using it to create a Pepper's Ghost?

@Amiers As long as you've also got containment and drainage already worked out and then test it thoroughly with the air conditioning and ventilation systems both on to be certain it works, and collects the water in performance conditions after it's ran down the window.

I meant make your own video lol. Making a real rain effect sounds like a total pain in the ass

I've done it with a Source Four + GAM Film FX unit, as well as a video projector, both using the upstage door as a projection surface. (I believe in both cases the door was frosted plexiglass, which helped conceal minor imperfections.)

Video content would start to run into intellectual property issues, but it's not too difficult to find an animation engine or screen saver utility and create your own. Again, it helps it the resulting image is slightly out of focus.
