Today’s office view from a JLG X700AJ atrium lift with a 69’ basket height.

Wow. Looks bigger in ground-based pics!

What's going up to the high steel?

Lol I've set up stuff on that floor, just never seen it from that view. I really should be better about documenting the weird views I've had.

What kind of pads are under the outriggers. Did you booty your wheels too?

The pads are some kind of medium density plastic pads, maybe 1/4” thick that the school had. It was just to protect the floor from the outrigger pads scratching it. The tracks of the machine were surprisingly soft and didn’t do anything to the floor, and are lifted off the floor when the outriggers are deployed.

I've gotta get my department at my university one of those... we have an athletics director who's just a little on edge whenever something that isn't wrapped in bubble wrap touches his floor. Now, I understand that the flooring is quite expensive and hard to fix (so he tells me), but if it's good enough for you, I imagine it's good enough for him!

Took me the longest time to figure out (I hope) you meant "bootie" the wheels, as in wrap them with something to protect the floor.
Auto correct got me. As well as just waking up. Blame technology 😂😂😂

@Amiers Are you suggesting we should blame technology for disturbing your slumbers / waking you up??
Toodleoo!

Be prepared for sticker shock. They are surprisingly expensive. New they are north of 200K.
I’m sorry, I can’t hear you over the sound of my TD having a seizure. I’d better go check to see if he’s all right, since the department accountant is making similar sounds.............

Think what else you could do with $200k! Hookers and blow! Champagne and caviar! Fix the soft spot in the stage, buy new lights, a new audio console and wireless... Renting a spider (atrium) lift when you need it is much easier on your TD's tender blood pump (accountants do not have hearts)... Dunno about the really expensive cities but I'm guessing I could get one delivered, picked up, and keep it 3 days for $1000 or less. Save up the campus projects and you might be able to share the budget cost with another department.

Just get the sports department to buy it. They always have big budgets compared to the performing arts. they can use it to get the balls stuck in the roof structure back.
Regards
Geoff

There's a lot of the floor unseen in this shot...but you had a ground person safely out of the way, yeah?

EDIT: I see hi-viz in your second shot.
