Mirror with built in LED lights

The theatre I am working at is undergoing a management change. As we all know with management change comes renovations and upgrades. One of those upgrades is a much needed upgrade to our dressing room area. The new management company has brought in an interior designer to help make the space feel less institutional and he is proposing mirrors with built in LED lights like you would see in a residential or hotel bathroom(see pic). I have concerns about this option and wanted to get everyone's opinion on how they would feel if they walked into a dressing room and found these mirrors? I plan on researching the ESTA guidelines and comparing them to the mirror's spec sheets. Really just looking for real world opinions on seeing these in a dressing room. Also, if I have posted this in the wrong forum please feel free to move it.

I've seen those in dressing rooms before, with no issues..
The thing to be wary of is LED color and tint. An "ideal" mirror lighting setup will be high CRI white, the same color temperature as your front lighting.
If everything is tungsten/incandescent, you want 3200K-3600K lighting, if everything is daylight you will want 5000K-6000kmirror lighting. Otherwise makeup will tint and color for the wrong look.
(In fact after lunch I will be setting up 3 Arri skypanels @4800K in the makeup area for a corporate live stream so that makeup will be applied under correct lighting)

Are you an Equity house? do you believe your theatre will be going Equity anywhere in the near future? There are extremely specific light sources and volumes outlined by Equity, then +1 for what @RonaldBeal said above. The Equity handbooks are available on line or you can call the regional office and ask someone to point you in the proper direction.

We are not an equity house and I don't see us ever going equity.

Even if not Equity, the questions about the quality of the LEDs are definitely still a concern. My expectations would be very low on that front, and I would insist on seeing a sample or (at the absolute minimum) detailed specs that give some indication of quality before committing to this design.

Also, consider maintenance: how easy will it be to repair or replace these in the future? LEDs only last "forever" with proper thermal management and good power supply design. Neither of those are things I would automatically trust to a bathroom fixture manufacturer without some solid evidence. Even the 20k or 50k hour theoretical lifespan comes up quicker than you might think for fixtures that are left on a majority of the time.

The quality of the make-up lights needs to be identical to the stage lights, LEDs tend to be weak at the red end of the spectrum so the actor will put on a redder make-up to look right, however if they then walk on stage to halogen or high CRI LED lights they tend to look like clowns.
