Control/Dimming Chauvet Reve E-3

Good Afternoon all,
I have a whole bunch of Chauvet Reve E-3 in a venue that I am working. We have them connected up in 14ch2 mode and the console is an ECT GIO running the latest software (3.1.5 I think)
what we have found is when recorded to a sub and we snap the sub up to full the fixture will fade up over time and not snap up. If we bump it on the bump button it flashes to full in an instant.
The dimming curves are turned off on the fixtures. How can we make these fixtures snap up without using the bump button?
They are only new (I unboxed some a few weeks ago) however they may have been sitting there for some time.
Looking forward to your suggestions.
Regards
Geoff

You say the dimming curves inside the fixtures are disabled.

Isn't there a dimming curve *inside the desk too*, probably channel by channel?

That seems a more likely candidate for "snap breaks but bump does not", to me...

bump snaps to full but push the handle up fast and then sit back and wait for it to fade up.

If you turn the light on in a time of 0.1 using sneak does it fade or snap?

A lot of lights now have smoothing algorithms in them.
Don't know. Will test later this week and report.

So I don’t know if it will address this specific issue but ETC assured me that the Mint LED problem I’m having is corrected in the next software release, in, wait for it, end of January. However, if you feel like running in beta, there should be an open beta of that software soon.

I had a similar problem with my mini-movers (Inno Pocket-Z's). When assigned to 0-count cues, they still fade on or off. I could only get one to "snap" off by making a cue that closes the shutters

Just to chime in - not sure if your problem was resolved or not.

I had the same problem with a very early batch of e3 fixtures. Reached out to Chauvet support and they confirmed it was a known firmware bug. They sent over an updated firmware file and that fixed all of my fixtures.

It doesn't look like the firmware is available to download online, I had to get it via tech support email.
