My name is Dave and I am the author of the Cue Player family of sound programs. I joined because one of your members spoke of my program in the Sound forum and it seemed like a good idea to become part of the crew here. I'm always willing to learn as well as teach about our craft. My experience comes from over 30 years of doing lights, sound, and acting in amateur and community theater with a sprinkling of what you might cal semi-pro.

Welcome aboard!

It's always good to have people on the forum who create the products that we use, as long as you're here to assist!

I always find it disgruntling when someone just shows up and says "look here! this is my site! it has stuff for sale!" But you definitely seem like the type of person that could add to the community by providing useful advice on the software! Thanks!

That's exactly why you didn't see the URL to my site on my first posting. I do not want to be "self promoting".

Hey Welcome to the booth!

Don't be afraid to share your product, just don't hit people over the head with it. We have several sales reps around here who offer their expertise based on what they sell. Yet they are polite and still offering help... not just trying to sell. (Check out the posts of BillESC and Kelite for example) These people are valuable members of our community and you can be too. If your product really is an option that could help someone. Feel free to post a link. Heck get it out of the way and post it now. We are curious. Just be a member of the community first and a sales guy second and no one's going to flame you.

OOO me me me I want to flame him ! Please let me !

Rats, nothing to flame about.
Welcome aboard ! it'll be great to have inside info on the goings on of programs.

I take that back. Van will flame you just because he's old and grumpy... but that has nothing to do with you promoting your product.

Well welcome to Controlbooth.

You win brownie points for a first post not promoting yourself. I seem to recall that in the past ship wrote some pointers for people who are jointly representing a company and being a run of the mill member at the same time. When I get a chance I'll do a search for them and post a link if I can find it.

Welcome to Control Booth. Please contribute to the forum by answering and asking questions. You will find a very wide range of experience here. Middle School, High School, and college students all the way to professionals. But some of the younger people can work circles around some of us with the newer technology and newer "toys"!

Dennis
