Sound effect

We are about to do The Complete History of America (abridged) and it calls for some speeches from political figures a one point during the show and I have been able to find all of them except for Robert Kennedy's "to follow in the footsteps of my brother" does anyone know where I might get this?

Thanks
Taylor

Do you know what speech it was from, i.e. time/place/etc.... I did a quick search and couldn't find anything on it. I would check with the Kennedy Library and other Kennedy related sites.

You might join the theatre-sound list-serv and ask there - usually folks have success asking about speech recordings on that list. Other than that, you might try contacting the major broadcast networks and seeing if they have a copy of the speech.

Just in case you can't find the original and haven't thought about manufacturing your own, here's an easy recipe that I've used successfully --
* find someone who can do the voiceover
* turn down the bass and treble all the way
* turn up the midrange
* and mix in a little static (example attached file) at low volume.
Except for the Kennedy buffs in the audience, I'll bet you can make something good enough that people wouldn't know the difference.
