quick hazer input

Hmmm, re-engineered LeMaitre Neutron AND refurbished. I think you just found the trifecta of problems.

yeah, I should hold off on making any quick purchases and wait till I could invest in a nicer one.

Len are you not a fan of LeMaitre as a whole or just neutron? My local supply place loves their Radiance, but then again that is the only brand they stock...

This looks exactly like the hazer I used in a dance show a few months ago. It's kind of a piece of junk. I am using a Radience hazer currently in a production of "Into the Woods." It works quite well and I havent had a problem with it. Its list is at around $850, However, if you don't want to deal with a warm up time, and don't mind a bit of noise, I strongly reccomend the DF50 Diffusion Fogger http://www.reelefx.com/products/df50.htm. This would be something you would look to rent as the cost is is around $2900. I just used it in a production of RENT and it was Gorgeous and rented at 45 bucks a week.

Just the Neutron. The Radiance is awesome. The Radiance tour package, despite being a little tippy, is even better. The LX is really good, albeit not as rugged as it should be. The LSG has never been a problem. I've used some of their pyro type stuff (confetti cannons and the like) and they work well also.

And Chauvet may be making a lot of noise, but all the stuff I've seen from them seems to fall apart rather quickly. Cheap, innovative, but just not durable enough.

The neutron is a piece of crap. Chauvet has the worst customer service, almost as bad as Lightronics, but at least they dont tell you your an idiot when your watching a piece of gear freak out and they are saying your lieing. I bought the antari fazer, i love it, well worth the money.

If you are going to buy a Hazer you should be looking at something like the DF-50 or Jem stuff. You are going to be renting your stuff out so you want something that is going to hold up well and appeal to more people. The pro LD will not want to use Chauvet....he or she is going to want something more bullet proof and relieable! With something like the DF50 you can appeal to more people and it will still work just dandy with your laser setup. It isn't going to breakdown after a few uses.

Any Chauvet stuff I've seen and used hasn't been reliable at all.. I use a LeMaitre Radiance here and love it.. the DF50 is really nice too but louder and leaves that oily film on lights and basically everything else in the room.. I run my Radiance on 36% and it fills up a 1500 seat auditorium without being too obnoxious either..
