Conventional Fixtures Altspot Q1000

I've been letting this workhorse Altspot Q1000 sit in my shop for a few years now and have decided to sell it off. It is about 20 years old but is in fine working order with a 3-caster telescopic pedestool, new power cable and two bulbs. (750W, and 1000W)

If anyone is interested let me know and we can negotiate a price. It is located in Portland, Oregon. <phone deleted>

KurtRobinson, we prefer that new members refrain from "hawking their wares" in their very first post. Actually, advertising of any kind is against CB's TOS, so consider this a stern warning. Since I just received a two-week suspension from a different online forum, for something I did accidentally, I'm feeling generous, as it's possible you didn't read or understand the rules.

Why not start a thread in the New Member Area introducing yourself?

Also, should you want response, take it off line in requesting replies thru PM mode or letting them thru your profile E-Mail you.

Hard to manage the concept of helping people give away or sell off stuff even on the best of circumstances. Perhaps if nothing else we as Controlbooth should consider a yearly garage sale week in a seperate section also governed thru the above for replies in Controlbooth not being liable or responsible in any way for it.

In any case, for now until a seperate section is made that's the rule and while this post is left up for debate and help since it was a new member and in leanancy always if possible held to for all initially, Let's leave this post there in discussion for now is my view.

Hope you find a needy group and good home for it, always a shame to have gear for a good home that could help so many. This much less in personal experience, the 1000Q is very close to hart in having serviced many many of them over the years but never once used one in a show. Great fixture, even could potentially upgrade it to a 1.2Kw lamp were it me doing the upgrade.... heck, would love to make one LED in the future.

Good luck, hope to see your posts a lot in the future in helping others or getting help. Pay it back concept being for all of our industry and I for instance have a lot of people in my past I'm paying back on-line.

A yearly CB garage sale? I love that idea! One man's trash is always another man's treasure! Imagine the stuff that would show up! It would be worth it just to share the pictures of some of the crazy old stuff we all have collected! You know, the thing you don't give a second thought to but someone else would go "Oh Wow! You have one of those???"

Hmm. Well, I'm helping out a local community theatre, and suggesting they trash all the stuff in their basement.

Anyone want old beam projectors, some sort of striplights, some sort of collection of roundels, some sort of old PC spot thing. Some other weird stuff laying around...

Let's hold off on the offers until Dave (want to say Uncle Dave) as it were though I'm much older than him... perhaps with his website comes up with the solution. Perhaps post it as a thought in the ideas section of the forum.

Hmm, treasure... while working on an antique rowing machine a few months ago I stumbled on some hardware designed for brackets on telephone poles. Totally cool. In exchange for some springs and other stuff supplied I now sit on the hardware I grabbed for potential use of that project that will som day no doubt get used in a more active way than a dark closet at the back of the theater. This given there is more of it there, I was doing even exchange for hardware expended on the project.
