I don't know the 2k's myself. There were 2 in the roboscans one was ot convert from various mains voltage to what the fixture needed. the other was the striker. The striker capacitor was wired directly to the lamp socket. If I were you I would trace the wires to make sure. Also the striker...
I recently had some fixtures of a similar vintage (Roboscan 918's) that needed a new lamp striking capacitor. If everything else checks out that may be your issue. I didn't ever find a good way to test. Once they were replaced everything started working. I suspect like many things the capacitors...
You should try Rosco Colorine. The golden amber would maybe be too yellow but maybe not. Since it is designed to dip incandescent bulbs the heat shouldn't be an issue since it would be lower temp than the incandescent version.
In the past for the darker colored hardboard paneling from lowes. I use BIN primer from zinnser it is shellac based and has done the best job. If possible i would recommend priming it outside due to the smell. The last time i did this was pre Covid so it would be worth testing a small area to...
I am going through a stock of old Littlites and have several whose dimmer has come unglued from the upper assembly. In the past I have used silicon caulk, hot glue, and VHB to attempt to hold the dimmer in place. All of these have eventually failed. I have no idea what the original adhesive from...
I am creating a syllabus for a class I want to teach. The overall topic is working as an electrician/master electrician. I can find several beginner stage lighting books but nothing that discusses more in depth issues all of the ones I have looked through are primarily lighting design books. I...
artnet is enabled in the shell. Universe 1 in both cases. The lights worked correctly I just couldn’t have dimmers patched to sACN universe 1 and led strips on the same channels patched to artnet universe 1. Sixth address controls the shutter. The console and fixture are both set to 13 channel...
I am designing lights for a small school and using their house rig.
Structure:
Computer running eos software 3.?
Ethernet connection to sACN node (pathport din) in rack
Dmx from node through distribution amplifier
Dmx distributed around ceiling
Additional ADJ Artnet node on ground connected to...
As I mentioned they were a price conscious option. The CRI is miserable. If color temp is all you care about they have a bluer tone fixture but the CRI is still in the 80's. The method should work for any 0-10v analog dimmed LED though.
For a small Theatre I used thesehttps://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/parking-lot-lighting/100w-led-parking-lot-light-shoebox-area-light-14000-lumens-250w-mh-equivalent-4000k5000k-trunnion-wallsurface-mount/6121/They have a power circuit and a 0-10V circuit. I made a fixture profile for...
Any time i need help on the old NOVA stuff I contact Leviton (I think the # is 1-800-824-3005). They own the patents and will send just about anything you need. All I have is the instruction manual that came with the box not service manual.https://www.leviton.com/en/docs/IF_501_Manual.pdf
When I need a paintable hard coat for most materials I use Styrospray 1000. It is an isocyanate based 2 part coating that can be brushed on. I have used it on foam, wood, and PVC. There are videos on YouTube where they coat balloons and it gives the stability. I am not an industrial hygienist...
Have you tried adding a virtual dimmer to the fixtures? This has helped me when I have run into issues with the colors controlling intensity. In the patch window select all of your fixtures and hold shift on the top left of the window a add V dim soft button appears. Once I added the virtual...
The only thing I would suggest is to speak with you electrical contractor and AHJ for electrical inspections. I was working on a school install and failed for this reason. The inspector said that receptacles are female and plugs are male. While the NEC may not have an opinion your inspector...
