    Cascading Yamaha 01V with 01V96

Welll... actually being able to run both boards together is all we really need to do. I only need the extra channels maybe 4 or 5 times a year but don't have the space in the booth or the budget for a 32 channel board. All I really want to do is to run the 01V as a slave to an 01V96. I know...

    Cascading Yamaha 01V with 01V96

We own a Yamaha 01V that was originally bought to mix 12 wireless mics for outdoor theatre. We still use them both, but some of the local groups have been using them for their musicals. This raises the issue of needing more channels to mic the band. Since it is a periodic thing, I'd really...

    Fresnelite lens clips...

I found that page... but as with all things Strand... finding answers is a pain... but your comment about it not being a metal part sent me back because the part I saw was metal... Turns out that it was a colortan 1k fresnel that I was looking at and not a Strand... However, it is the clips I...

Portable dimmer power switch off- lights stay on

I am in Canada so am having problems finding the STM 25amp triacs. However, Littlefuse makes a part Q6030LH5 which is a 30 amp triac that is available. Is this a suitable replacement?

    Vintage Lighting Strand Patt23

I came across a request for 4 strand Patt 23 instruments... anyone on here know of a ready source outside of ebay? I'm only guessing they want to buy and I'm guessing it is something they need for a period piece...

    Control/Dimming Locking C-Clamps?

We have changed all of our dimmers to 20amp twistlocks... (yeah... we are using 12ga extensions for them and changed the cables at the pack to 12 ga cable as well). Now... dimmers run with twistlock... twistlock is always 12ga. Instruments run with uground and 14ga... We keep a limited amount...

Conventional Fixtures GLA LAMPS won't fit

I'm not sure who the manufacturer was of the lamps that didn't fit... I wasn't involved in the lamp change other than to verify that the base was too big for the socket... and yes.. it was a ceramic base so may have been just a bad lot.... However, We switched suppliers and are using OSRAM now...

    Static and Cutting out

Correct about the wrapping the mic around the beltpack. That was something we learned when we first got our first system... Wrapping the mic cable around the beltpack is fast, easy and keeps the cable neat... but also tends to damage the mic wire.. We store our mics and beltpacks separately...

    Static and Cutting out

I realize that the show is over now, but for future reference it is worth examining the mics themselves because when I read the OP, I immediately thought "mic wire failure". We have had 12 G1 and recently upgraded to G3 and over the years have discovered that the mics tend to fail at the point...

Wireless Sennheiser EW 122 G# beltpack issue...

it's not from the batteries. We don't leave batteries in the beltpacks when they aren't in use. the issue is happening right on the circuit board. I'd take a picture of it, but I cleaned the goop up with alcohol to have a better look. I'll probably have to wait for Sennheiser to tell me what...

Wireless Sennheiser EW 122 G# beltpack issue...

We bought 12 about 2 years ago and they have run problem free since then. They don't get used a lot and the receivers are built into roadcases and use the antenna splitter. We had one of the beltpacks crap out at christmas and I figured it was the result of being dropped. However, we lost two...

Conventional Fixtures GLA LAMPS won't fit

Well this is an interesting issue. We have a bunch of Strand 2xxx LEKOs. We had been using FLK lamps for them until I read the threads on here that suggested using the GLA instead. So we ordered 6 to try them out. My tech told me after that they are very difficult to install. The issue...

    Really old Strand-Century Fresnel wiring

I picked the 4 of them up for $20 on ebay and wasn't exactly sure what I was getting until they got here. But I have leads and fiberglass sleeves laying around in our "parts" collection so am going to try to get them running. On the other hand and the sockets look to be new and the lenses fit...

    Trying to build a theater

As a long time venue administrator, I would reiterate what a couple of the posters have mentioned about including operating costs as a part of the project plan. Whether you are building new or converting a space, the capital costs are not going to be your biggest problem because they are often...
