    Purchasing my own desk

Perhaps I've been the exception but I've made money on every console I've purchased. 1 own 1 grandma full size series 1, 2 command wing systems, a laptop/NSP system, and an ETC Express 125. I'll be getting a fader wing for the command wings in a few months. Now I do ton of corporate work so...

    NAB 2013

Pelican's coming out with a nifty armored backpack for a 15" laptop and full DSLR camera. I wants it. Also Coolux booth has some cool stuff in version 5. ARRI has some nice little leds. Haven't been to south hall yet. Oh Panasonic 23" tablet is cool too.Axis

    Chauvet COLORado 1 IP = ?

The price of that unit reflects the cost of the IP rating. I don't think you'll find too much less than that with a true outdoor rating. There are certainly cheaper chinese knock offs you can use indoors. Kupo comes to mind for cheap LED pars. You get what you pay for however.

    ETC Express 48/96

Also depends on what LED product you are using. I have found some of the cheaper LEDs can't handle the refresh rate of my ETC well. You gt huge "steppiness" on cross fades and dimming out. I'd do a test first.

    Evita projection vs lighting issue

Mike, good points you raise. But why not think outside the box? I've done some pretty cool shows where the projection is around the proscenium. Or above it? Plus why go for the pretty picture..I'd rather project on a non traditional surface...let go from the pristine looking projection and...

    Conventional Fixtures Lobsterscope !

My all time favorite use of the Lobsterscope is the Train number in Music Man. I made a cutstom gobo out of a pie tin that had multiple "windows" in it and stuck a Lobsterscope in front. Front projected onto the cast looked like sunlight filtered thru trees moving in the foreground. Worked like...

High End Hog 4 family of consoles released at LDI

The visualizer is not on the console however, I belive they just include a license for Capture with purchase. Another cool thing is there's a eSATA port in the back of the console for hooking up an SSD full of content media. But not yet implemented. All in all I'd say It' about time High End...
