I agree, although measurements with an anolog meter showed no leakage. I thank everyone for the input and was glad I could confirm that my earlier digital multimeter measurement were due to capacitance.

John, thanks for the technical explanation. It adds to your credibitlity. I'll try the lamp in parallel. It will be a couple of days before I can get to the analog measurement.

I still plan to try the analog meter. I believe it is less susceptible to stray capacitance. Thank you for your analysis.
