    Live outdoor

I've been using this XTi on tour now for almost a year, have not had a single problem with it..and just to add to len's comment above, most of the rental houses around here in Toronto have been adding Crown amps to their inventory as well at an alarming rate....the iTech seems to be becoming one...

    Live outdoor

I got the chance to use a set of SP2s in a high school environment and we actually used a Crown XTi 2000 as our Main amp run in stereo connected to Crowns proprietary Amp < management Software (HiQNet) to adjust the levels of the XTi, this also allowed us to EQ the system throughout the show as...

    Video Editing and Publishing Software

Im in love with Vegas Pro 9.. I do a lot of live show DVDs and i find that the workflow in Vegas 9 is phenomenal in comparison to Final Cut Express or Final Cut Pro...I have had access to editing suites running Avid, Edius, Final Cut Pro, and Premiere and i still swear by Vegas 9...one of the...

Best bet to keep costs low is the BNC, we use this in combination with a pair of flown projectors in our rig and the quality that we get from the BNC is impressive even over long lengths...never tried using the audio cable to send a video signal as I've found that using a cable to send a signal...

    Hard drives being stolen

I've been contracted into doing a lot of install jobs in high schools and I'd say probably 90% of external drives nowadays have a kensington slot in them and I always make sure and chain the drive into a cement wall if possible so it cannot be moved...never had one stolen using this policy..

    Weird Problem with NSI 7024

I just recently serviced an NSI analog console in a high school (same model if I remember correctly) and the issue ended up being that the DMX addressing between the console and the dimmer was wrong and this caused the same problem described above. In the end we solved the problem by doing a...

    Mixing a live recording

I'm doing a similar set-up for a youth theater production of grease, however im using ACID Pro 7 as my DAW because I intend on using my live show recordings to dub over the video recording off of the handycam we are using to film the show in Sony Vegas 9. We are using 3 floor and 2 overhead...
