Digital Mixer w/o Digital Sources. Advantages?

I understand that. We particularity do not use the password functions at all so the board is set n ready to go upon power on (it snapshots itself periodically, so the board will "autosave" where it is if there is an power interrupt. So it remembers where it was after it was shut down as well.)...

Digital Mixer w/o Digital Sources. Advantages?

If you prefer an analog worlkflow, but want to go digital, I recommend the Allen n Heath QU32 / 24 / 16. Simple analog like workflow with digital as the core of the board. Can also allow for some security settings / a bit of automation of the board, if so desired and set up properly. (three...

VOLUNTEER: Church in Buffalo needs sound techs, will train.

I'd be interested as I'm still a young (23) engineer with only 8 years behind me on analog, but slowly getting my feet wt and soaked with digital. We actually use the X32's analog big brother, the SX3282, at our church. Happy hunting! Sadly I'm in Wisconsin. Lol

    Projection Software for a church

We have this remote and for our campus it works well, so it has my vote (think size wise of near 130+ feet and even with a lot of people in the pews it works wonders.)

Mixers/Consoles Which is easier, Analog or Digital console

I learned on analog and still use it, but also am learning digital desks as well. So i honestly can say i prefer analog as i feel like I get a leaner sound. Just my preference. But i am getting used to digital and am liking it. Just not the stress of it.

    Backstage WiFi

I know this might be a bit of a different situation, but at my old high school: secured wifi using server/client authentication (student/faculty login) and you had to go and manually "talk" to the authentication server (this is a high school network and has both authentication and handshaking...

    Techie sayings

"if you want to learn, open your mind and listen, if you want to goof off, be wary of standing below someone working on a light. Otherwise you'll really "goof" off in a matter of seconds""If someone asked this to be perfect, it just isn't perfect, its the result of hard work, mostly sweat...

Carpet/Runner/Cover Suggestions for Floor Run Cable Safety

I agree with the above with a cable snake if you can afford it, as well as possibly (if you have to go the gaff tape method) keeping the strips as clean as you can, or using a "glow tape" if needed and then simply pull the tape up (do not bunch it up and toss it if its still good, reuse if...
