I like to record shows that I do so that I can go back and critique my mixing. I normally connect my recording equipment to a matrix that has the main feed on my console. My problem is the show I'm currently doing relies heavily use of an effects processor that is after my board and my...
I moved the microphones as close as possible to the downstage edge of the table and that really helped a lot. Since it was all scripted I only had one on at a time but for some reason the center one still sounded funny (maybe because the center people where taller and thus above the 60 degree...
I did a show with Pilobolus and for this dance they used a powerful projector plugged into a Mac book. I don't remember what kind of projector it was but it was a PIA because it required two phase power and took 2 people to lift.Edit: here is a picture of the projector they used.
Yepp, but I still had problems. Thanks for pointing that out! Horizontally the people are almost dead on because there are only 2 people per mic, but vertically I think they are pretty close to 60 degrees. I'll try to make sure that the microphones are closer to the edge of the table. Thanks!!!
That was my gut reaction at first, but I still had the problem when I muted two of them so that only one was on. My technical director seems to think that it has something to do with the people being 3 feet from a microphone that is suppose to cover an entire stage. All of our wireless body...

Audio-Technica U851CW Cardioid Condenser...
I guess I should explain.
None of the actors moved when my stage manager called places before rehearsal tonight, and the technical director said to her "your problem is that your voice isn't bitc*y enough!", so I thought it would be hilarious if tomorrow she suddenly had a b*tchy voice.
My school has one power conditioner, would it be better to place the power conditioner in the booth to run the board, eq, cd player, wireless mic receivers.... or backstage to run the amp?
Thanks,The light show is going to be part of our talent show, and I'm still working on the Tik Tok part. The idea for a light show was inspired by this video:
YouTube - 2007 LIGHT SHOW HIGH SCHOOL PERFORMANCE!!!!I know there is no way in hell I'll be able to pull anything close to that off...
Thanks for all the advice!A couple questions:Do I record the show as a series of cues connected by follow's or is it possible to have complex cues (1-7 @ FL then after .5 secound's 8-10 @ FL......)?Can I somehow link the start of the music to the start of the show? Can I transfer cue's...
