    Needing help finding a job

No I agree and understand how important that diploma is, it shows that you'll do crap you dont want to and do it well. Planning on getting it, I'm just at a level that I'm not gonna learn anything and make less money if I find work outside of my theater. I'll change my username, it's a running...

    Curtain Pulling

Dont pull the rope so hard reach as high up as you can and then do it with your other hand and make it smooth it's less damaging to your hands and makes the curtain flare less

    What Would You Have Done?

You were in the right dude, a saying my boss says a lot is never let the crew run the ship, they dont know how to yet. This kind of thing happens a lot and idk how heated things got or the relationship you had with your superiors but you shouldnt of been kicked off, you were doing your job...

    When do mistakes happen?

Have a small crew meeting and explain the plan in person, and ask if people have questions, it takes 5 or 10 minutes. If they dont like those meetings they soon will cuz theyll know what they're doing and be more confident and wont fark up as much.

    For the first aid kit

How often does this happen? Only seen one guy get messed up by a moter and we call him zipper now. Safety is top priority cuz things can go wrong real quick and people can get seriously hurt.

    Basics of Backstage etiquette

Make a habit of keeping people from putting hands in their pockets, their more likely to stand and not ask for help, you remind them, if you're working your hands shouldnt be in your pocket. Nicely of course but it makes them get moving and asking people to help set up

    Location of the Control Booth

I dont work in a big theater, I'm a stagehand but I can program a board and do the hard patch. So our lighting director advances the show's plans them, get the lights and board ready and them uses them show night. Is my technical director doing multiple jobs?

    Stolen Gear...am I overreacting?

Iv been raised to think that if someone is stealing something from you that you worked and paid for, they dont deserve your respect (depending on the situation) but in this case it was high schoolers. No you're not over reacting, cuz if you dont freak out now itll be more then a keyboard and...

    Location of the Control Booth

I disagree with all of this, the tech booth should always be front of house, the lighting director and sound engineer have to be where the audience is to give them the best experience possible.

    Prepping New Crew Members

Make them feel like they arnt dead weight, be patient and make sure they know that if they dont feel comfortable handling it, dont do it. Use them mainly as case pushers and tell them to ask people if they need help. Keep your hands out of your pockets, if they're working their hands shouldnt be...
