I spent 2+ years touring the U.S. and Canada with the rock band Xanadu, trying for that elusive record deal, and spent the remainder of the 80’s in playing in rock bands, The Fabulous Tunes, The Critics, and Noisy Boys, doing lots of studio recording, and playing more concert and club dates than I can remember. Being very interested stage production, I built up my own sound and lighting rental company during that time, which operated successfully for 6 years (Critical Sound & Light).

Some of the bands/musicians I've opened for, shared stage-time with or provided equipment/services for:
Foreigner (opener)
Restless Heart (opener)
Rail (opener)
The Monkeys (opener)
Liberty DiVito (provided minor equipment)
Sojourn (FOH audio mix opening for Mister Mister - Marriott Center Arena, Provo, UT, Showco)
Highway 101 (opener)
The Belamy Brothers (opener)
Fishbone (provided stage, sound and lighting sytems)
The Osmonds (personal crew - Astrodome, Houston, TX)
Beatlemania (FOH audio mixsound lighting sytems)
Kalaban (FOH audio mixsound lighting sytems)

FOH Engineered at: The Marriott Center (23,000, Provo, UT), Golden Spike Arena (10,000, Ogden, UT), Dixie Center Arena (10,000, St. George, UT)

I spent three years as House Sound Engineer at The Westerner Club in SLC, UT (www.westerner.com). I've played many hundreds of live shows, spanning everything from clubs to major arenas. During my time at The Westerner Club, I became interested in country/crossover music, and I've played in several respected bands of that genre, including The Marc Allen Band (www.geocities.com/marcallenband), and Wild Country (which recieved the Best Country & Western award for 2000 from City Weekly magazine).

You can find an example of my prog-rock bass playing on the album, Words of The Frenchman (eN) - tracks above - or available at www.Amazon.com and www.CDBaby.com.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Weber State University. I currently work as a Programmer/Analyst for a large company. I have a really nice little stage lighting rig that I like to rent out occasionally.

I have just finished writing version 1.0 of a 16-channel stage lighting software that is fully programmable, and allows the end user to fire pre-programmed scenes via a MIDI foot controller. Number of scenes is unlimited. Several really nice features, including programmable chases. Really nice user-interface.
