Started as a spot op at the MGM in April 1974. Did mostly electric until 1976, then audio, finally.
Set Builder, rigger, A-V tech, Star Performer theatres, convention and exhibits. Did several news installs of computerized lighting boards in the late 70's. Got into personal computers in the mid 80's and really learned the hardware and programming. Got an opportunity to do videowal programming and setup and specialized in that from '91 till mid '95.
Gave up showbiz, got a haircut and a "regular" job as a computer geek for Clak County, NV until 1998, then moved to Missouri and have been driving 18-wheelers since 1999.
My trucking business failed in April of '09 and I'm back in the game looking for a job in the Information Technology sector.
Going back to Vegas, Local 720 or stage work is not in my list of things to do. Not enough trees or free range grass there.
