If you can have her walk the blocking cue to cue and ask her to identify it - if she does hit on a couple fixtures irritating her, you might try adding a cut of Hamburg frost to the gel in the fixture- if it doesn’t ruin your field too much.
A tiny bit of frost can take the edge off an...
We had a client use an led tape that worked out very cheap, a bit of work making each one up but they loved it- I think the company was green life ?
They cut the LED tape- soldered on little 18 gauge wires and tied into the 12 bolt.

I think reading the Seattle paper is really helpful in terms of perspective of why to use LED’s- boiled down it’s not energy savings ( except on a cyc ) it’s for color .
You have a good base in the strand rack - because it has relay modules available for you to start distributing power for...
Dawn, you are looking at the patch panel portion of the system - this inter connects the circuits ( track lights ) to the dimmers.
If you had a licensed electrician carefully remove thi s panel you would probably see six bolt in dimmers behind it. They usually analog dimmers, that get...
If you are powering LED’s - try an ETC Colorsource relay - wired or wireless. Nice clean way to manage the data and power.
Don’t use dimmers to power LED’s. Good rule of thumb.
I might suggest two things -
1- clean the racks and filters.. could be an airflow issue.
2- our of curiosity, have they added moving lights or LED’s to their rig ? If so.. how are they getting DMX to those devices, and how are they managing the power to them.I see a lot of schools buying...
Aedan,
First, everyone is correct, find and use a constant A/C source or invest in a relay module at the dimmer rack.
The mistake you are making by setting a dimmer circuit to non - dim profile is common as venues are buying LED’s and movers and not taking care of how to get power to them.
I...
