I saw a production of Midsummer Night's Dream where the actors were painted in liquid Tide, and when they turned on the blacklights, the actors all glowed. it was wicked.

i did try grsites... but to little avail. we need a sustained effect... most of the ones i found there were only 6 seconds long, and were very clearly of a train leaving... we need a continuous sound

I need a steam engine... here's the scene: We are having a fight on top of a "moving train", and in order to acheive that effect, we are going to use sound and lights. it's "indiana jones era", so a steam engine is probably what we need. i am continuing to look for some, but with little luck.

does anyone know where i can get a good train sound effect? I found a few free ones online, but they all suck. if anyone has one i can have, or know where to direct me to find one, i would appreciate it. thanks so much!

ok, i'm a little more clear on the show now... it takes place inside a pyramid, and there is also a scene that takes place on top of two MOVING train cars. the way i'm going to do this is with lights and sound... not actually moving the set pieces. basically, i need ideas on how to...

I would say think more than smoke. Judd lives in the smokehouse, right? so, yeah, there is smoke. but there would also be a significant amount of soot and ash... smudge some things up with dark grays and black. not too much, but enough to give the impression of soot and smoke damage. it...

my most hated equipment? not so much equipment as our entire sound booth. it's glassed in and impossible to hear what is going on in the house and on stage. and you have to go through 3 different doors to get from the booth into the house.... dummies....

my principle has put me in charge of researching the possibility of redoing the sound system in our junior high auditorium. now, i know that it desperately needs a serious overhaul, but i don't know much else. does anyone have any idea where to start researching stuff like this :?:

tech crew curtain callsI'm on the fence... i agree that the life of a techie is one lived in the shadows of the curtain... but i definitely think that techies deserve their props... our cast often will acknowledge the crew at the end of the curtain call by gesturing up to the control booth...
