Just my 2c, we have 24 elation packs that have been in nearly continuous use (until last march...) for over 8 years, 3 weeks a month with I believe 4 or 5 triac failures which take me 10 minutes to fix. Hope to get them back to work soon....
I'm reposting this from 2017. Of Mice And Men at The Central New York Playhouse. Sad to report that Phil Brady (Right) died suddenly last weekend. He was a member of our production group, an amazing actor, and a sweet man. Always there for a joke, a work party, a hug, or simply his loving...
And so it goes...our (almost) 8 year residence in the mall comes to an end. We have of course been virtual here since march and now the mall that has been slowly dying around us has issued eviction notices to all its tenants. We have fortunately been inundated with offers from free storage...
My eldest is on costume crew for Ain't Too Proud at the Imperial. She's got a dress project she started 3 years ago....she says maybe she can finish it now! Up here at CNYP we are about to close The Matchmaker after 1 weekend. A neighbor house opened Amadeus and closed it the next day. At least...
Thanks-- I managed to steer clear of the chaos. The backstage moms did a great job wrangling and kept the kids busy with theme nights and such. Unfortunately didn't prevent the Annie plague from going through the cast- luckily we split the role of Annie and one had to finish out the run herself...
Yes, just deep enough to drop a 3" screw in, then drop the pipe over the screw to keep it from moving. I wanted them to be temporary so we can eventually move them to our main dressing room. We were doing Annie and the kids were stationed in our rehearsal space for dressing and downtime.

One of our LD's does design/consulting for a local suburban high school. Not being an electrical guy last fall he asked me to "take a look at some of the instruments." At least 20 were dead, with either bad lamps, cooked sockets or both. I sorted through what we could get going with just a lamp...
