    Design LED tube diffusion material

I have a number of clear CK color cove LED tubes on a show and am looking to wrap them in a material for more of a visible solid tube of light effect (so it looks more like a fluorescent tube or those frosted LED pixel tubes) rather than being able to see the individual emitters and was...

    Automated Fixtures VL1100AS DMX Response

Hello everyone! I’ve been having a bit of a weird issue with a Vl1100AS fixture where it will occasionally randomly freeze in its current state and not respond to any dmx commands (including fixture reset and such) and then usually 5-10 min later or so just start working again on its own...

    Elektralite Paintcan Issues

Hi! So I'm working on a show that is using an Elektralite Paintcan (yes, I know it is a rather unliked fixture but I acquired it for free). Until a few days ago it had served the production flawlessly for what we were using it for (washing part of a room in a site-specific theater piece in...

Automated Fixtures Mac 700 Wash issues on Strand Light Palette

Thanks so much! Unfortunately, that show is over and we have returned the Mac 700 washes… But if we rent them again we'll definitely try the "invert parameter" option. Thanks for clearing up my misunderstanding of "idle" as well!(Though I think Strand has fixed the fixture profile now.)

Design Input/Ideas on achieving a Door Closing Effect with light

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread, but I'm curious. What did you end up going with? I'm attempting to create the same effect on a production right now, but we don't have the budget for renting a mover with shutters. I'd prefer for it to not be a manually operated system since (ideally)...

Automated Fixtures Mac 700 Wash issues on Strand Light Palette

So it turned out to be an issue with the fixture profile on the board. For some reason, the profile has the CTO set to always be at 100% (and won't let encoders change that). We parked the CTO address at 0 and that solved the issue. Thanks so much, though!

Automated Fixtures Mac 700 Wash issues on Strand Light Palette

We tried that, and we get the normal, bright white out of both of them in the self-test mode…

Automated Fixtures Mac 700 Wash issues on Strand Light Palette

Yes, we are using the extended personality on the board and on the fixtures. Thanks though!

Automated Fixtures Mac 700 Wash issues on Strand Light Palette

Hi Everyone! So I'm having a strange issue with Mac 700 Washes on the Strand Light Palette Classic. We rented two for a show and have them fully connected to the board (and have control of all their functions), except they both home to a strange yellow color. The color correction is not...

ETC Ion Trigger 2nd Cuelist in a cue

The link/loop and macro method worked! Thanks a bunch!

ETC Ion Trigger 2nd Cuelist in a cue

Is there a way for a cue on the ion to trigger the running of a separate cuelist?Basically, what I'm trying to do is make a loop of cues (with follows and linked cue) in a second cue list that apply an effect to different channels in a predetermined sequence that is triggered by a cue in the...

    Multi Screen Video

I've heard good things about Isadora, especially with live feed handling, though you might also want to try upgrading to the new Qlab 3 which vastly improves its video/projection capabilities. If you need to have more than one screen, you'll have to start looking at external video cards to run...

    Design Car Headlights through Window

Agreed. The realism of the design was fantastic. It was utterly gorgeous, and a perfect match for the mounting tension in the play. I've never seen realistic lighting done so creatively and effectively.

Thanks! Pars on a cart seems almost too easy... Guess I was overthinking this one.
