Apologies for resurrecting an old thread, but I'm curious. What did you end up going with? I'm attempting to create the same effect on a production right now, but we don't have the budget for renting a mover with shutters. I'd prefer for it to not be a manually operated system since (ideally)...

So it turned out to be an issue with the fixture profile on the board. For some reason, the profile has the CTO set to always be at 100% (and won't let encoders change that). We parked the CTO address at 0 and that solved the issue. Thanks so much, though!

Agreed. The realism of the design was fantastic. It was utterly gorgeous, and a perfect match for the mounting tension in the play. I've never seen realistic lighting done so creatively and effectively.
