Most of that is better then hanging lights from an A-Frame ladder like this:Les should know, as we've been there done that, also incase the designers hide any mike inputs center stage behind the teaser.

Well... other than having a portable dimmer-pack and running a power cable and the DMX cable... NO I haven't although it looks like ETC is heading that way soon.
Could you tell us how many channels it has ie: 24/48 or is it a 125/250.

Yep. Just fine, we laid it out over the auditorium chairs to get most of the wringles out and then we hung it. The ends have 2 boards screwed to each other, and we have a rope/wire leading to the top to pull with.
We (lester and I) use a traveling scrim just fine from one end and it only uses a taut wire across the stage and 1 ft. of the wing space. His dad strung the wire across and it works fine.

Actually yes they do at our sister school (Ryan HS) they have both moterized and counterweight. The moterized are for the lighting system.
And our Soundboard is the same one that the Rolling Stones used. They were going to come and look at our system and test it out, over the summer of 2000...
We use wedge monitors in the front and to the sides pointing in at the other side of the stage, then we turn them up nice and loud and the back row can hear it just fine. BUT then we run in to a problem with the audience hearing it out of the monitors and FOH speakers, and Apron speakers...
