    Video Question

If I had the budget I'd love to put in two of the Panasonic boards and see what they can do. Unfortunately, the budget just isn't anywhere near what I need even using Videonics boards. Why is it that clients always ask for big results on tiny budgets?

    Video Question

I've used the older Videonics model quite frequently and it seems to be a great system. And I can't justify the price of the Panasonic when I could buy nearly all the new equipment I need for the same price as one Panasonic.

    Video Question

Well I'd rather not do the dual switcher thing. The plan is actually to use two MX-4s each supplying different signals. One to a center screen and the other to the side screens. Does anybody know how much a two channel switcher costs? -DVkid

    Video Question

I have a video question. Sorry if there is a better place to post this. I am looking for a Videonics MX-4 style switcher, but I need at least five preferably six inputs. Anybody know of anything?

    Dual Output Video Switcher?

Newtek was who I was looking at because I used to run a VT2 and that thing kicked butt. I was hoping dual output had been added in VT4 but it doesn't look like it. Well maybe a second switcher will just be the solution.

    Dual Output Video Switcher?

I am currently in the very early planning for a big event coming up in about two years. The design crew is looking into some various ideas and has asked me (their techie) to see how much is possible. My question for today is: "Is there a video switcher I can use to take all my inputs (most...

    New Board

I myself have no experience running intelligent fixtures through ETC boards. In both of our ETC expression workstations we use other equipment to operate our intelligent fixtures. If your looking for DMX control software, I'd say go with Martin Light Jockey. The software is free, but...

    Somewhat Random Question

In response to your initial question, during David Copperfield's tours, after all the lights have been loaded in, the LT hooks the board up on a road case on the stage to check all the lights and update the positions. Being on the stage gives him (or her) the opportunity to walk around and get...

    New Board

I personally recommend the ETC Express line of boards. It gives you the ability to attach a VGA monitor that is VERY useful when cueing as well as during general operation. I have used this sort of board at one of the "Mega-Churches" here in Vegas in the Junior High Ministries departement...

Actually, my church runs with ETC. My school runs on a Strand. Unfortunately, I'm not in the Tech Theater class so they won't let me touch it. Oh well. Next year!

New To Forum And Tech World

I am 15 years old and have worked in the world of tech theater since i was about 12. I started out (and am still) volunteering at my church. We are on the smaller end of the "mega-churchs" you hear about so much these days. In the Junior High department I started out cueing conventional...
