Cutting a groove is going to be difficult with the design on the Passerelle... I do like the idea of using the quarter round, however I'm thinking about possibly using 3/4 instead. Just to be sure no weight can be put on the rope lights... Possibly thinking about a piece on either side of the...
Hey y'all!Alright so the theater I work in is a high school. In our theater we have a passarelle (spelling?). We've always used rope lights to line the edge of the passarelle plugged straight into a dimmer channel (they need to be dimmable and controlled from the lighting desk). However every...
Well I replied and just kind of expressed my thoughts a little bit and said that I would rather have the old interface put back in to the software until they could figure out something new rather than just eliminating control over the parameter all together.
I emailed figure 53 directly and this is what I got back:Hi Elliot,
Thanks for your email. At the moment there is not a replacement for this control in QLab 3. We want to create a way to do something similar, but we didn't feel the interface in version 2 was a good one. Hopefully we can find a...
Thanks Gaff. I really appreciate it. But now this has become the least of my problems. Our house projector won't work for this show. Its not a wide enough lens. This has left me with whatever projectors I can muster up around the high school. They have various wide lensed projectors but they are...
My theatre is currently working on a play called "A Piece of My Heart" about Vietnam. During the last scene we are looking to project the image of a bunch of names on the cyc to look like the Vietnam Memorial in Washington DC. Does anyone know of a place where I can find a graphic like this...

Ok so I plug the device directly into the back of the board? What powers the device? Also how do I assign the 2 channel strobe channels on the board? And lastly what do I do if I decide I need leds and strobes? I don't have a 3rd DMX input on my board.
So I'm currently running An etc express 48/96 with all conventional stagepin fixtures and regular dimmers. What would I need and how to do it if I wanted to run a couple of dmx strobes to my electrics? Any questions just ask. Thanks.
Does anyone know of a good piece of software that I can run on our computer that will serve as a digital cue list? By the way I'm running windows. And is there any other handy software I could install on the computer that a light tech would find useful? Preferrably free also. Thanks in advance.
Hello, at our high school when we use pre wecorded warning that we play when we play the "please turn off your cell phone" warning before every show. The warning warns the audience that the show contains effects such as smoke, pyrotechnics, strobe lights, various other atmospheric effects etc...
