As an American living in germany, I can safely say that making those outlets 220 volts won't do anything to the chargers. I plug in American power bricks into German plugs via adapters all the time. 99% of all power bricks I encounter can take anything you throw at them
I love Amazon, but if you don't know the proper term for what you are looking for, you aren't going to find it.
I found a shure condenser boundary mic at a flea market in great condition, but it didn't have that black cylinder thing that connects to an XLR cable. I've always called it the power...
Bugger, I was afraid that would be the answer. I have seen these units many years ago when I did pro A/V rentals and staging. Never knew they cost so much. I was HOPING more for the $100 range, not $650.
Thank you anyways.

I am the tech guy for a chapel. It's main function is as a chapel, but it hosts plenty of business meetings and classes during the week. My system has 8 Audio Technica Digital mics on the 2.4 GHz band. (I really like them by the way, but I have my gripes.) Those plus an actual wifi network for...
I absolutely agree with kicknargel. In theater perception and visual cues are accepted over accuracy. Remember that on stage, for me at least, my stage lights are amber, aND the audience's eyes white balance to this. Streetlights are oranger than white, which means they can't just be amber...
Go to B&H Photo and click on the Surveillance category.
Analog & HD Cameras
Using the checkboxes, whittle down the selection to fixed position and 2 Megapixel and 1.5 Megapixel. There are 9 cameras available meant for security surveillance but high quality enough to produce a decent picture. I...
I think VGA will be the best fallback technology for many years to come. There are still a lot of issues with digital signals: transmission bandwidth, HDMI 1.2 or 3 or 4, proprietary plugs and signals, Copy-protection handshakes. It's good to know that when all else fails, you can fall back on...
I sympathize with the guy being railed against. If I don't know about moving light maintenance it's not for lack of desire.
I've been out of college for 5 years. I went to the college's "Multimedia Institute" which means I was taught how to be a jack of all trades and a master of none. The...
A couple ways to approach it...
First booth position in the room. Especially if you have a stereo main mix, you want to put the booth, and specifically the sound board as close to the center BETWEEN the left and Right mains as possible. If it's not possible to get to the center, oh well-but...
If you have a powered speaker, hook it up to the aux out 3 feet from the board. Make sure it's plugged into the same circuit as the board. Make sure there is still hum in that condition. If so, then something may be shorted in the aux jack in the board.
If not then it's cabling or the amplifier...
I finally decide to get my own email that's not based on my name. My name is fairly common and I hate adding numbers onto the end-not-to-mention it would be a different number for every web account. I am looking around my room for inspiration and see this posted above my computer. I love...
